Responsibilities:
- Daily Responsibilities:
- Review daily P&L, analyze risk positions and market movements, explain P&L variances, and address queries from traders and stakeholders.
- Ensure team meets KPI and SLA requirements.
- Handle ad hoc queries related to trading revenue and Balance Sheet.
- Weekly / Monthly Responsibilities:
- Review key weekly & monthly MIS reports for senior management.
- Gain insight into provisioning and price testing controls, engage in discussions with stakeholders, and review month-end processes.
- Perform detailed reviews of month-end adjustments and Balance Sheet substantiation.
Controls:
- Maintain a robust internal control environment, monitor control reports, raise control awareness, and ensure compliance with governance and risk policies.
- Projects and Continuous Improvements:
- Identify and drive process re-engineering initiatives for control enhancement and process efficiency.
- Motivate the team to deliver continuous improvements and identify process improvement opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Qualified accountant / CIMA with CFA / Masters in Finance / Financial Engineering preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of product control experience in an Investment bank.
Technical Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of Financial products and markets.
- Understanding of end-to-end processes of an Investment Bank and associated controls.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and time management skills.
Skills:
- Strong control awareness, assertive communication, and ability to work independently.
- Proactive problem solver with negotiation skills and ability to drive team agenda.
- Strong leadership qualities including judgment, influence, execution, and drive.
Language:
Fluency in English (spoken and written).
