Responsibilities:

  • Daily Responsibilities:
  • Review daily P&L, analyze risk positions and market movements, explain P&L variances, and address queries from traders and stakeholders.
  • Ensure team meets KPI and SLA requirements.
  • Handle ad hoc queries related to trading revenue and Balance Sheet.
  • Weekly / Monthly Responsibilities:
  • Review key weekly & monthly MIS reports for senior management.
  • Gain insight into provisioning and price testing controls, engage in discussions with stakeholders, and review month-end processes.
  • Perform detailed reviews of month-end adjustments and Balance Sheet substantiation.

Controls:

  • Maintain a robust internal control environment, monitor control reports, raise control awareness, and ensure compliance with governance and risk policies.
  • Projects and Continuous Improvements:
  • Identify and drive process re-engineering initiatives for control enhancement and process efficiency.
  • Motivate the team to deliver continuous improvements and identify process improvement opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified accountant / CIMA with CFA / Masters in Finance / Financial Engineering preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of product control experience in an Investment bank.

Technical Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of Financial products and markets.
  • Understanding of end-to-end processes of an Investment Bank and associated controls.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and time management skills.

Skills:

  • Strong control awareness, assertive communication, and ability to work independently.
  • Proactive problem solver with negotiation skills and ability to drive team agenda.
  • Strong leadership qualities including judgment, influence, execution, and drive.

Language:

Fluency in English (spoken and written).
