Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Support Worker to join our team. As a Support Worker, you will provide essential assistance to patients in various healthcare settings. Responsibilities:

  • Assist patients with daily activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and eating.
  • Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature.
  • Follow care plans to ensure the well-being and comfort of patients.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients.
  • Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper lifting techniques.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and healthcare team members.
  • Document patient information accurately and timely.

Skills:

  • Previous experience in home care or healthcare settings preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal.
  • Familiarity with care plans and ability to follow instructions.
  • Basic IT skills for documentation purposes.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with patients and healthcare professionals.

Requirements:

  • Practical training certificate for manual handling.
  • Practical Training for Basic Life Support.
  • Valid Driving Licence.
  • Training in Dysphasia, Epilepsy, Learning Disability, Mental Health Awareness, Safe Swallowing, PICA, Makaton, Autism, Buccal, Midazolam, and Medicine Administration Level 2.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Zero hours contract
Salary: £12.00-£15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 1 – 40 per week
