Company Description: Think Tank Training Centre is a world-class VFX, game art, asset creation, and animation school dedicated to empowering the next generation of creators. Our support team plays a vital role in supporting our students, faculty, and each other.

Job Description: The Product Designer will support the Head of Experience and other team members in creating an exceptional student, faculty, and admin staff experience on our proprietary online learning software, Portal. This role involves all aspects of UX and UI design to create seamless experiences for our audiences.

Responsibilities:

Product Design:

  • Produce user flows, wireframes, prototypes, high-fidelity screens, handoff, QA, testing, and optimization in collaboration with the Head of Experience.
  • Stay updated on industry knowledge of design, tech, and online education, and apply best practices.
  • Document designs and collaborate with the engineering team throughout the process.

Design System Contribution:

  • Assist in creating and maintaining a Design System to increase team productivity and product viability, while improving consistency and quality of user experience.
  • Design and edit UI elements, UX patterns, and associated documentation.
  • Participate in governance duties and facilitate collaborative design of the library.
  • Work with the engineering team to ensure UI and UX compliance with acceptance criteria and centralized documentation.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience as a Product Designer.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate briefs into comprehensive solutions.
  • Proficiency in creating user flows, wireframes, prototypes, high-fidelity screens, etc.
  • Experience with Figma or similar design tools.
  • Proactive, self-starter with a commitment to excellence.
  • Passion for education is a plus.
