Full Job Description:

About the Job: Immigration Enforcement is responsible for enforcing the government’s immigration laws, tackling illegal migration, removing foreign national offenders, and disrupting organized criminal groups. The Civil Penalty Compliance Team (CPCT) issues civil penalties to employers and landlords found to be employing individuals without permission to work or rent. As part of ISC, CPCT aims to encourage compliance with immigration rules and tackle illegal migration through various measures.

Responsibilities:

  • Analytical and decision-making responsibilities.
  • Developing an effective knowledge of the area of work.
  • Producing high-quality decisions on cases.
  • Providing clear explanations for decisions in writing to employers and landlords.
  • Processing and managing outstanding Civil Penalty debt.
  • Working with Government legal officers and other legal representatives to deliver the best outcome possible in litigation cases.

Essential Criteria: Candidates must demonstrate:

  • Flexibility, organization, and the ability to deliver under pressure.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to learn quickly and swiftly develop understanding of their area of work.
  • Pride in the quality of the work they produce.
  • Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Confidence with IT and the ability to quickly learn to use new or different IT platforms.
