Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome members and guests as they enter the gym.
  • Provide information about gym services, membership options, and class schedules.
  • Assist with membership sign-ups, renewals, and cancellations.
  • Address and resolve customer inquiries, complaints, and issues promptly and professionally.
  • Answer phone calls and respond to emails.
  • Schedule appointments for personal training, classes, and other services.
  • Process payments, manage cash handling, and maintain accurate records of transactions.
  • Ensure the front desk area is clean, organised, and stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Maintain member records and update information as needed.
  • Assist with administrative duties such as filing, data entry, and reporting.
  • Coordinate with other staff members to ensure smooth operations and effective communication.
  • Monitor the gym floor to ensure equipment is being used safely and properly.
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness throughout the facility.
    Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in customer service or front desk operations, preferably in a gym or fitness environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and handle a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills and familiarity with gym management software is a plus.
  • Positive attitude, professional demeanour, and a passion for fitness.
