Job Description: The NHS Birmingham and Solihull Integrated Care Board is seeking a motivated individual for the position of Business Support Assistant within the Office of the West Midlands Primary Care Commissioning Team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the effective delivery of delegated responsibilities for General Medical Practice across the West Midlands region.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide premises and contract advice and support to Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) and contractors on General Medical Practice matters.
  • Offer administrative and secretarial support to teams, ensuring the efficient delivery of GP delegated functions.
  • Support compliance with statutory, regulatory, and NHS requirements related to General Medical Practice.
  • Manage team communication processes and maintain various databases and generic inboxes.
  • Assist in the operational delivery of functions and processes related to General Medical Practice.
  • Collaborate with the team to identify opportunities for service transformation to enhance quality and outcomes.
  • Undertake reporting and analysis of information to support service delivery.
  • Demonstrate excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in verbal and written communication.
  • Work collaboratively with managers and staff across GP premises and contracting functions.
  • Actively participate in the Integrated Care System, promoting system values and addressing health inequalities.
  • Contribute to creating an inclusive environment that fosters diversity, innovation, and equality of opportunity.
