Responsibilities

  • Independently managing complex ER matters, conducting workplace investigations, resolving employee grievances and supporting the parties to resolve issues themselves across Asia, Europe and America, particularly in India.
  • Providing quality ER advice relating to employee issues, employment, policy, Health, Safety & Wellbeing matters, whilst ensuring a commercial, values-based, and lawful outcome across Asia, Europe and America, particularly in India.
  • Ensuring a high level of ER advisory support is continuously provided to business stakeholders and within the Talent & Culture community
  • Keeping across key developments in India employment law and labour legislation and regulation and providing proactive and strategic advice to relevant stakeholders
  • Identifying and addressing areas for improvement relating to ER and the Talent & Culture function
  • Leading and managing projects focused on continuous improvement of ER processes and contribution to the broader Talent & Culture function, including undertaking projects and initiatives for the benefit of and to represent ANZ India region in particular
  • Coaching, mentoring and supervising other members of the ER AEA team, including the ER First Responders, who are the ‘front line’ for all employee relations matters at ANZ
  • Collaborating with legal teams in the preparation for and participation in labour relations matters
  • Working effectively, collaboratively and resiliently as part of a multi-geography team, build capability and succession planning
  • Requirements

  • Business and/or Human Resources Management and/or Law degree (post graduate legal qualifications in particular are highly desirable)
  • Extensive experience in a specialist employee relations role or employment legal role, demonstrating a deep understanding of employment laws, regulation and policy
  • Demonstrated, strong experience engaging and managing senior stakeholders, ideally in a multi-national context, and ability to function as a strong and collaborative colleague and team member
