Job Description

DoubtBox is seeking a dedicated and motivated Student Mentor to provide guidance and support to students in academic, personal, and career development. This role is essential in helping students set goals, develop effective learning strategies, and navigate their academic programs successfully.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Guidance and Support: Provide personalized guidance and support to students in academic, personal, and career matters.
  2. Goal Setting: Assist students in setting realistic goals and creating action plans to achieve them.
  3. Advice on Learning: Offer advice on study techniques, time management, and effective learning strategies.
  4. Academic Navigation: Help students navigate academic programs, resources, and opportunities.
  5. Role Modeling: Serve as a role model and provide motivation to students.
  6. Addressing Concerns: Address students’ concerns, challenges, and questions related to their education.
  7. Monitoring Progress: Monitor students’ progress and academic performance.
  8. Creating Supportive Environment: Create a supportive and inclusive environment for students to thrive.
  9. Collaboration: Collaborate with other faculty members and staff to promote student success.

  1. Communication Skills: Ability to listen actively and communicate effectively with students.
  2. Empathy: Capacity to understand and empathize with students’ challenges and emotions.
  3. Patience: Willingness to support students at their own pace.

  8. Reporting Skills: Strong reporting skills with knowledge in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  9. Educational Background: Graduates in Science or Mathematics preferred.

Working Hours

  • Time: 11:30 AM – 8:30 PM
