Responsibilities
Understand various data sources, both internal and external, that supply data to operational reports, dashboards, insights based reports, etc. and identify other relevant data that could benefit Business stakeholders.
Gather and extract data from identified sources. This may involve writing and maintaining scripts, utilizing APIs, leveraging automated tools, or collaborating with data engineering teams to ensure data accessibility.
Validate data quality to ensure accuracy, completeness, and reliability of acquired data. Perform data comparison effectively using tools.
Adhere to legal and regulatory requirements related to data acquisition, storage, and usage. Ensure compliance with data privacy policies, maintain data confidentiality, and handle sensitive information with utmost care.
Work closely with internal teams, including data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders, to understand their data requirements and provide appropriate data sets for analysis, mining, reporting, etc. Collaborate with IT teams to optimize data acquisition processes and resolve technical issues promptly.
Continuously Identify areas for improvement in data acquisition processes and propose innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and quality.
Requirements
Graduate in any discipline
Excellent & proven communication skills – verbal, written & presentation
Work on data sourcing initiatives to enable delivery of PA&C data products
Good understanding of industry standard for data and security frameworks, ideally within an HR function
Proficient in data cleansing, preprocessing and exploratory data analysis
Work on translating business questions to data definitions and source to target mapping documents
Engage with development and testing teams to ensure business questions and outcomes are clearly understood and provide clarifications as required
Work with HR Technology Testing team to define test strategy, test cases and validate execution of testing against documented acceptance criteria
Develop test apps using Qlik or any other approved tool in HR tech stack to automate data testing
Proficiency in a scripting language (ideally Python or R), SQL
Experience working in HR systems (desirably Workday)
